Engraving is as old as humanity itself. Throughout history, people have used cutting tools to decorate jewelry and everyday objects.
The art of engraving reached its first peak in Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries, when armor and weapons were artistically engraved and chiseled. Albrecht Dürer brought this craft to a new heyday in the 16th century when he used the same tools to cut the copper printing plates for his famous prints, which we still use today in our workshop in the 21st century.
Nowadays, there are very few specialists who have mastered these ancient craft techniques. And despite, or perhaps because of, our ever-faster-paced world, in which globalization trends are making entire populations the same, computers determine communication, and humanity's appetite is satisfied by fast food, there are a few who want to and can afford the luxury of something special.
